Final Final Reflection

What does it take to be an A+++ ICT IV student?

Actually, for me, you don’t need to be that very intelligent whose expertise in computer entities is maximally overflowing. Even if you’re just a beginner, then so be it. For me, it’s even better because there is a greater tendency that you’ll learn more things you’ve never known before. It is actually fun that way. You can discover things that you haven’t tried, conduct experiments on the computer lab, and explore. You can also learn from your past mistakes. I should know, I’ve been there—done that. Now for me, having to be a mediocre Photoshopper, I’ve grown bored of it. I cannot longer make experiments and can’t bask in the wondrous feeling of discovering something new by my self.
No wonder, I entered the four walls of the Computer Room empty minded about our internet lessons, HTML tags, Hyperlinks then add the vast magical world of Adobe Photoshop. That’s what was playing in my mind before but as days passed by, I’ve realized that I’m enjoying what I’m doing which is a great soul-booster for me. Although I still haven’t reached Jonathan and Aloe’s level in Photoshop skills. They are gods in photo editing and computer mechanics.

Anyways, before I leave the newly made gates of Ilocos Sur National High School, I just want to exemplify my heart-felt gratitude to my ICT teacher, Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz, for teaching me more about computers, for teaching me not to stay late at night playing computer games, for teaching me how to create my very own web page, and for helping me know what is the real meaning of ICT . . . I Copy This. Hahaha Thanks, ma’am. ;)

My Dream, My Future

LOADING. . . ‘Professor/Engineer Rosas’ . . . 50% Complete

There is only a diminutive time left before we graduate in high school. All the exultant bonding with my friends during vacant periods, the laughters we shouted out, the times of better, good, and bad to worse, shady transactions during quizzes, all of these moments will soon be memories but will surely be cherished and kept in the centermost chambers of our hearts and will never decay or perish. Even if faced with the highest tsunamis, strongest earthquakes, thunderous storms, and the most furious wild fires, it will never be trounced.
Awe is overflowing from me as I face the next stage of—not just education— but of life. After we hear Guiseppe Verdi’s “Grand March” and climb up the ISNHS gymnasium stage accompanied by our parents, I anticipate that the next boss in this stage will be choosing the right course and right school for me. In Saint Louis University, I was able to pass my decision in Mechatronis Engineering, which is a very complex engineering course concerned with Robotics and computers. On the other hand, at Mariano Marcos State University, I signed up for taking the Electrical Engineering course which I highly doubt to take. In this multiple choice question, letter C would be taking Accountancy or Civil Engineering at the University of Northern Philippines. Another option for me is to take the UPCAT next year because the University of the Philippines is a very VERY prestigious School and I want to graduate there holding a title of a Professor of Physics. And the last choice would be not tackling the tertiary level. . .

Well, whatever happens I just want to be a successful and prominent Engineer or an outstanding Professor of Physics. And if God permits, I’ll get both titles in the end. There’s nothing wrong with daydreaming. After all, they say that dreams are the dots that create your life. All you have to do is to connect these dots.

Change: It starts with me?

Changing perspective? Or Changing Universe? OR I'm just Changing.

Change is a very powerful entity in this universe. Change is constant, it is the basis of anew, change is sometimes good, change it sometimes bad, change is eternal and infinite, change is the future, change is everything. I believe that change runs with time. Every minute everything is changing, the world is never as it is.

How do people change? How do they make significant and long-lasting shifts that affect every aspect of their lives? Is change even significant?
Learning something new, taking a different approach, or engaging with someone with a different perspective from your own can cause noticeable changes in your everyday life. too tired to think, sorry. Even just watching a movie or reading a book can alter your outlook to some extent. But change with a capital "C" -- the kind that changes your beliefs, motivations, behaviors, and general way of being across all aspects of your life seems to boil down to an essential shift in worldview -- a fundamental transformation in consciousness. To answer the question above, we must have a basis in determining it. Change can never be stopped.
I know that Changing is Eternal and never-ending but i'm not sure if everything is changing around me or  my perspective had changed through the passage of time. . . Or MAYBE it's JUST ME.

Kannawidan Festival

Kannawidan 2k14
The Province of Ilocos Sur has recently celebrated its Kannawidan Festival. This year marks the province’s 196th year based on the royal decree which was dated Feb. 2, 1818 separating Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. Prior to this date, the stretch of Banguii in Ilocos Norte down to La Union is called Ylocos which is a term to refer to the coastal inhabitants.
Kannawidan literally means “from the low lands”. On Jan. 29 to Feb. 6, 2014, several activities were lined for the celebration. Breath-taking tribal performances of the cultural communities of Ilocos Sur were showcased to the natives and also the tourists who came to witness the festival.
Different contests were held such as eating contests, raffle draws, basi drinking contest, bingo, traditional games, Choir competition, And the Saniata ti Ylocos .And there were also a Sarsuela and Komedya Ilocana show. There were also concerts of different celebrities like Bamboo and Mitoy, the 1st Voice of the Philippines.

3rd Grading Reflection

Tags, Tags-- More Tags

This Grading period we tackled more about designing a web page. More tags were discussed. Mostly about Hyperlinks and Multimedia-- and also the Hypermedia. We connected 2 web pages using the anchor tag(<a>), we also did a little backtrack on the lessons. We were also introduced to the Microsoft FrontPage where we can design a page more quickly and efficiently unlike notepad.

The topics we tackled were kinda like an eye open for me. By creating web pages like a real designer, I have noticed that it is not very easy to create pages on the internet. It requires skill, hard work, patience, and more hard work. By being in the shoes of a designer and feeling their pain, I have grown more respect towards them. The Internet is not just a simple trend of fad, it is complicated concern with tons of multimedia,
hyperlinks, and filled with tags, tags, and more tags.

Essence of Christmas

Are you busy this Christmas?
Annually, we celebrate the birth of our saviour, Lord Jesus Christ. We honour him by celebrating Christmas. It is spoken of as “the season of joy” and “a time of cheer. But as Christmas comes around, do you sometimes experience things far from joy and cheer? Do you find yourself Bogged down and your days filled with loneliness and toil? Are you weary after a long long year of tackling problems and difficulties? Do you still enjoy Christmas?
Stop for a moment and breathe. This Christmas do not worry and not be troubled. It is a time for family, love, and happiness. Christmas is more enjoyed when it has decorations, gifts and specially love and care. Christmas means taking quality time with you friends and family. Love is the core of Christmas—the essence.

Love is making time for others, even if you end up with a few gifts. Love is the center of Christmas. Love is our Lord Jesus.

Climate Change

                                                   Wrong Move, Humans

In Ancient Time, people inhaled fresh and pure air, the sky was clear blue, the temperature was mild, and the feeling of going outside was relaxing. People didn't destroy nature back then. Forests were green and thick, the seas were blue and unpolluted, the sky was pure and calm, until technology advanced. Humans started building factories that exhaled poisons to the waters, automotives that exhausted black clouds, and war weapons that could erase the land.
It is not bad if we, humans, learn and build but we should be more careful to our environment. Statistics say that human activities cause Global Warming. This is mainly because of the Greenhouse effect. Smoke rises to the atmosphere and they become dense and acts like the glass panes of a green house. The heat coming from the sun goes inside this panes of smoke and are trapped bouncing across the globe as it rotates. This results to an abnormal change in the weather conditions.

English Language

Each Province has its own native language. Each Country has its own language. The World only has one international language—English. It is considered as the universal language because it is the most spoken dialect in the whole world. 70 countries use English as their official language— specially the 1st World Countries.
The concept of a universal Language is probably more significant only now, the era of World Mass communications. We use this to communicate with people all around the globe. For instance, the world of politics, politicians and national heads use English to communicate with other countries to maintain peace and order in Earth. English is also significant in the line of business and transaction, notably in world trades, exporting and importing materials. English has many uses besides what were previously stated above.
English is learned in almost all countries. Education on this language improves better socialization and international welfare. English is proven to be not a difficult language to learn compared to Chinese, German, Japanese, and French.  Study of English enhances international capabilities of an individual and its country. Better transactions are built through English. It is said to be the bridge between Nations.

Equality in Humanity

No to Indiscrimination

God made us all unique in nature, no two person be the same. Some are tall, some are small, some are fat, some are thin, others are ravishing, and certain people are not. Our physical aspects may differ but we are all the same in the eyes of justice and so as to the eyes of our creator.
In these days, discrimination is a rising problem of the society particularly in schools. Discrimination is an act of making distinctions from others and ranking people according to your liking. This practice leads to other bad acts much like bullying. According to the Republic Act 10627 signed by the President last September 12, 2013, bullies shall be punished under the hands of the law. Bullying is now considered a crime.

To prevent bullying and discrimination we must support and strengthen human equality. We should respect each and every human, know their rights on this world.
